I have always been fascinated by women whose names history either forgot or never bothered to remember—women tucked between the lines of grand stories, their voices muted, their faces blurred.
But if you lean in, really lean in, you will hear them whispering through the pages.
I wanted to listen. I wanted to tell their stories the way I imagine they would tell
them if they had the mic, the spotlight, and absolutely no fear of
being misunderstood.
This isn’t a collection of perfect women with halos perched delicately above their heads. No. These are women with messy lives, questionable choices, shattered hearts, and….women who were tired, angry, lonely, bold, pretty, brilliant, insecure, and sometimes, all of that in one afternoon.
