Every child deserves more than survival!

Every child deserves more than survival; they deserve transformation. A simple act of kindness can change not just a day, but a lifetime.

Twenty years ago, during NYSC NCCF- I witnessed the power of compassion.

We went into the thick forest in kaduna state. Met kids who I don’t think had bathed for months, let me not say years.

I was among those who bathed these children.

They came coffee brown to black and we bathed them.

Jesus never seen lather/ soap suds turn so black instantly.

Then made the hair of the girls after thoroughly shampooing and using all nice and sweet scenting products on the hair.

We sent the boys for a hair cut- lots of dandruffs but they looked good 😅🤭☺after the hair cut.

We got them new clothes from their tatters wears and shoes

I will never forget those three days.

We cooked three square meals for three days and they came to eat.

You need to see the instant transformations. ☺

Their smiles!

Their happiness!

They couldn’t stop hugging us 🤗 some refused to go home for home days and camped with us.

As young corpers with heart burning for God… That last day as we rounded up… Singing “our generation shall praise your name”…

I knew..

I will never be the same again.

That experience left an indelible mark on my soul, reminding me that we are created to bless and raise others.

Africa falters not because of a lack of resources, but a scarcity of collective humanity.

We must hold our leaders accountable, especially those who misuse funds meant for the welfare of the vulnerable.

Yet, change starts with us.

Look around.

If there’s a child in need, if there’s a life you can touch—do it.

The smallest act of kindness can echo through generations.
