Power of a praying child!!
While it is important to inculcate the importance of praying to a child’s growing routine, even more importantly (in my opinion) is to groom them to understand the power of their minds.
To be aware of how to use their minds to navigate their everyday experiences.
In my home, we have a bedtime routine; I have three questions I ask them. After this conversations we have our prayer then graduate to visualization.
After prayers they take it a step further to live their desires.. They maintain that state till they fall asleep. This could be from passing with all As to the very basic things in life.
And they see the results.
Morning and night, it’s usual to hear them scream “Morning Prayers!! Night Prayers!!!!” 😂😂😂 I asked them to do that because sometimes leaving my study is hard.. So when I am on call and hear night prayers!!!… I know I got to go 😌
It’s a usual thing in my home to hear them affirm loudly.
My kids don’t believe their life is created from the external. They KNOW they create their world because they have watched me pray, visualize and witness it manifest.
I get a testimony and they tell me.. “Mum you said this exact thing days ago!! Or mum this is exactly what we prayed about!”
They know the magic is from within.
Do they experienced this first hand?Â
Yes!!!…
My 8 year old Jeremy needed a pencil sharpener for this continuous assessment test. We had run out of stock at home and they couldn’t get at the shops close to the school.
Jeremy said he just told himself “Oh wow! look at my new sharpner!!.
He said a short prayer..”Thank you God for giving me a new sharpener”
And then he kept seeing a new sharpener on his desk right next to his other writing materials about to start his CA test.
His sister Cherelle said he kept repeating “Oh wow look at my new sharpener!!” On their way into the school compound till they left the assembly and went to their classes.
Now Jeremy’s teacher was late to school and another teacher was asked to stay with them pending her arrival.
The teacher decided to do a spelling bee with them and Jeremy won the very first question.
Guess what the teacher gave him as gift? A brand new sharpener, same colour blue like his old one and he placed it right next to his writing materials and said.. “Oh wow!! Look at my new sharpener!!
Just then his teacher arrived, the standby left and he wrote his CA with his new sharpener.
Jeremy was all smiles as he told us the story.
Me secretly hiding a grin.
He said “I never doubted, I knew I would write my test with a sharpener and I did. I knew God will do it if I believe I already have it”
So I 100% love what the parents of Zahra are doing. I do same but I go a step further to ensure that my kids also knows that they are gods and has the ability to manifest instilled in them.
Cheers to intentional #parenting.. It’s not an easy one but these precious gifts from God are so worth it.
